Akermannchen ROSTFREI MADE IN ITALY 28cm Italian Picklock Vintage automatic knife

Vintage Akermannchen ROSTFREI MADE IN ITALY 28cm Italian Picklock automatic knife made in the late 1950s measures 27.9cm (11 inches) open with D stamped brass liners and nickel silver bolsters, button and safety cap. The flat grind swedge blade is 99% full, or better with most of the original factory finish and the ricasso is stamped Ackermannchen (in an arch over) ROSTFREI and the pile side (back) stamped MADE IN ITALY. The genuine buffalo horn scales (handles) are in excellent condition with the front scale being mostly black with some tan streaking and the back scale mostly translucent green with cream streaks. The knife works great with blade tip deep in the well closed, strong snap and tight lockup open. Does not rattle if shaken with blade open. This is the only one of these picklock knives I have seen in this size with this stamp in my 45 years of collecting. I think this one is a sleeper. ;^) Short throw safety works great. EX+ condition.
