Aerial AC MFG Co Marinette, WIS Stag Lever K112 switchblade knife

This is a high quality reproduction of the K112 automatic knives sold by the Aerial Cutlery Manufacturing Co of Marinette, Wi in the 1920s and 30s. These reproductions were made in the early 1980s in Kentucky based on an original Aerial knife and represent over 90% of the Aerial knives that are seen today. Since the original Aerial knives are So hard to find, collectors have accepted these great quality reproductions into their vintage switchblade collections. The knife measures 4 5/8" closed and 8 1/8 inches open and has brass liners, nickel silver bolsters & steel lever. The saber grind blade is 100% full with all of the original finish intact and the tang is stamped AC MFG CO MARINETTE, WIS and PAT OCT 23, 1916 on the rear of the tang. The genuine stag scales are in excellent condition with no cracks or chips. The knife works great with the blade tip even with the liners closed, Strong snap and excellent lockup open with less than 1/16" movement at the tip. Very slight rattle if shaken with blade open. The knife is opened buy pivoting the release lever with your thumb, pushing it forward. Same motion to release the blade to close. Beautiful vintage American made bone handled switchblade. Nearly new condition.
