440 STAINLESS ROSTFREI 22cm Italian style Stiletto Red swirl automatic knife likely made in Taiwan in the 1990s. The knife measures 22.1cm (8 11/16 inches) open and 4 7/8 inches closed with brass liners and steel bolsters, button and safety cap. The flat grind needle point blade is 100% full with original finish and the ricasso stamped 440 STAINLESS ROSTFREI and has a nail nick. It was likely sold as a Kit knife where the spring had to be installed by the buyer. They provided the spring and a brass pin to install it. The locking hole is drilled part way through. The Red pearlescent synthetic scales are very attractive and in excellent condition with a couple of hairline cracks and held on with nickel silver pins. The knife works well with blade tip deep & centered closed, strong snap and Tight lockup open. Does not rattle if shaken with blade open (except for the safety which is loose). Safety works, but loose. EX condition.
