440 STAINLESS ROSTFREI 21cm Italian style Stiletto Red swirl automatic knife likely made in Taiwan in the 1990s. The knife measures 20.9cm (8 3/16 inches) open and 4 7/8 inches closed with steel liners, bolsters, button and safety cap. The spearpoint blade is 100% full with original finish and the ricasso stamped 440 STAINLESS ROSTFREI. The blade is made shorter than normal with a nail nick in the face, likely for export to Germany. It was likely sold as a Kit knife where the spring had to be installed by the buyer. The provided the spring and a brass pin to install it. The locking hole is punched all the way through. The Red pearlescent synthetic scales are very attractive and in excellent condition with no cracks and held on with brass pins. The knife works well with blade tip below liners closed, good snap and excellent lockup open with just a hint of movement at the tip. Does not rattle if shaken with blade open (except for the safety which is loose). Safety works, but loose. Nearly new condition.
