440 STAINLESS ROSTFREI 21cm Italian style Stiletto Blue pearlex automatic knife likely made in Taiwan in the 1990s. The knife measures 20.8cm (8 3/16 inches) open and 4 7/8 inches closed with steel liners, bolsters, button and safety cap. The spearpoint blade is 100% full with original finish and the ricasso stamped 440 STAINLESS ROSTFREI. The blade is made shorter than normal with a nail nick in the face, possibly for export to Germany. It was likely sold as a Kit knife where the spring had to be installed by the buyer. They provided the spring and a brass pin to install it. The locking hole is punched all the way through. The Blue pearlescent synthetic scales are very attractive and in excellent condition with a little shrinkage, but no cracks and held on with brass pins. The knife works well with blade tip below liners closed, good snap and excellent lockup open with just a hint of movement at the tip. Does not rattle if shaken with blade open. Safety works. Nearly new condition.
