Vintage Remington double switchblade made by the George Schrade Knife Co of Bridgeport, CT in the late 1930s, early 40s under contract for Remington Arms also of Bridgeport CT. It was designated the model R8065 and still has the original Copper Beryllium spring. The knife measures 3 3/8 inches closed and 7 1/8 inches with both blades open and has brass liners and nickel silver buttons and safeties. The blades are both mostly full with light patina, spotting and light pitting. Originally the large blade would have been etched Remington Master Knife but the etch is long gone. Both blades are stamped Remington on the front and the large blade stamped R8065 on the back of the tang. The scales are synthetic Pearlex and are not original to the knife, but they look really good and are in good condition with one hairline crack on the rear scale. The knife works well with both blade tips seating below the liners closed, both open strong and both lock open nicely with NO kickback. Safeties both work. VG+ condition.
