UNION CUT CO OLEAN NY Dog's Head Lever release Vintage automatic knife made in the 1920s - 40s. It measures 4 5/8 inches closed and 8 1/8 inches open with brass liners and nickel silver bolsters & shield with steel release lever. The saber grind clip blade is about 95% full with patina and some spotting and the tang is stamped UNION CUT CO OLEAN NY USA on the front and PAT OCT 23rd 1916 on the rear. The jigged bone scales are in great condition with one little flaw along the edge of the front scale near the bottom. The knife works well with blade tip deep and centered in the well, strong snap and tight lockup. This knife had a couple of professional repairs done to the mechanism and is actually better than new and still retains tons of character. EX condition.
