This is an early Schrade Cut Co medium double, pattern number 7404K that measures 3 3/8" closed and 7 1/8 inches open with brass liners. It was made by the Schrade Cutlery Co of Walden, NY somewhere around 1910-1916 so it's a 100+ year old American made switchblade. Both blades are nearly full and shiny with just a little light peppering. Main blade stamped Schrade Cut Co Walden, NY and the small pen blade is marked with three early patent dates, 1906, 07 & 10. The beautiful Brown Lined Cream celluloid scales are in good condition with a couple of nicely repaired cracks on the back scale. The knife works great with large blade tip below liners and pen blade slightly above when closed, open fully and good lockup. No kickback on small blade, which is unusual. Both safeties work. VG+ condition.
