C JUL HERBERTZ 21cm Italian 1960s Trapdoor OTF switchblade NOS

Vintage 1960s Italian trapdoor switchblade. This knife is New Old Stock and is part of a group of these knives that was found in an old workshop in Italy a couple of years ago. These switchblades have been very rare in the collecting community over the past 50 years so this find will give the opportunity to many collectors to own one of these knives who would likely never have had that opportunity before. This is a NOS 1960s Italian trapdoor OTF switchblade that works great!

The blade is stamped C JUL HERBERTZ over IMPORT and the backside is stamped PATENT over ROSTFREI. It measures 21.1cm (8 5/16 inches) open and 4 11/16 inches closed with nickel plated brass liners & bolsters, nickel button & safety and steel trap door. The flat swedge blade is 100% full with original finish and the ricasso is stamped C JUL HERBERTZ IMPORT on the front and PATENT ROSTFREI on the reverse. The knife has some gorgeous light green translucent horn with some white streaking and Red dot safety. There's a small manufacturing flaw in the back bottom bolster that you can see in extra pic. It works great with blade tip barely peeking out (most do), opens fully & locks when button pressed and closes by pushing the button again to release the blade to be pushed back in and cocked into firing position by the trapdoor which has a tensioner spring to help give it resistance. Safety works. New Old Stock condition.
