Flylock Green swirl Letter Opener switchblade

This is an antique Flylock switchblade letter opener from the 1920s. It was made by the Flylock Knife Co of Bridgeport, CT and was designated the model # 1122LO. It measures 10.75 inches with the blade open and just over 8.75 inches when it's closed. The blade is mostly full with some of the original factory finish with some patina and spotting. Blade is stamped Flylock REG US PAT OFF on the front and FLYLOCK KNIFE CO B'PORT CONN on the rear tang. The green mottled celluloid scales are in good condition with one crack by the button. The letter opener has seen use, but also in good condition. These old letter openers were also made by the George Schrade Knife Co marked with their PRESTO trademark and some by Schrade Cutlery Co, though those are much harder to find because they were only made for a few years. They are fun to collect and display well. Good working example of a 100 year old switchblade letter opener knife.
