Custom Reproduction of a 19th century European Automatic Oval button knife in wonderful detail by 2nd generation knife maker Samir Ahamad. This is not an exact copy, but is heavily inspired by a genuine 1800s switchblade with some minor differences. Not sure of the country of origin for the original 1800s knives that inspired this one, but I think it was Belgium. The knife measures 29cm (11 1/16 inches) open and 6 inches closed with steel liners, bolsters, button & safety. The bayonet style blade is 100% full with original finish with no markings. The genuine horn handles (scales) are light in color and wonderful condition. The knife works great with blade tip deep and centered closed, Strong snap and excellent lockup with just a hint of movement at the tip. No rattle if shaken with blade open. Truly wonderful masterpiece by Samir Ahmad. New condition.
