This knife was made by the Colonial Knife Co of Providence RI in the late 1940s/early 50s and was designated the model #1200. It's a mini fishtail knife that measures 2 5/8" closed and just under 4 1/2" open with brass liners. Note, this is NOT a keycahin knife. No schackle so it was made before 1952. The blade is stamped SNAPPY COLONIAL PROV USA and is full with all of the original factory finish and a little spotting. Great blade. The Rootbeer brown synthetic scales are beautiful and in very nice condition with one small crack by bottom pin on the back handle. The knife works great with the blade tip seating deep, good snap and good lockup with just a little wiggle. Really nice EX+ example of an early Snappy fishtail switchblade. Much harder to find than the keychain model.
