Schrade Walden medium double switchblade with Coffee & cream celluloid scales. This knife was made in Walden, NY sometime between 1946 and 1956 and was designated the model 740 measuring 3 3/8 inches closed and 7 1/8 inches open with brass liners. It's a spear/pen blade combo with nearly full shiny blades with nearly all of the original factory finish intact. The clip blade is marked SCHRADE WALDEN NY and the pen blade has three patent dates 1909, 10 and 16. The scales are very attractive and heavy on the Cream with no cracks or chips. The knife works great with both blade tips below the liners when closed, open fully and good lockup on both blades with a little movement each way. It does not rattle if shaken with blades open. Both safeties work, VG+ condition. Nice 70 year old switchblade that's seen little use over the years.
