Schrade Walden double switchblade with Sterling Silver scales. This is the medium size double measuring 3 3/8" closed and 7 1/8" with both blades open. They only made these Sterling doubles in two sizes, this size and a smaller knife that measures 2 7/8"closed. The knife was made in Walden, NY sometime between 1946 and 1956. The blades are full and you can see some of the factory finish under 60 years of light patina. Main spear blade stamped SCHRADE WALDEN NY and the small blade is blank. The Sterling silver scales are in very nice condition with a couple of scratches. The knife works well with blade blade tips seating well closed, open fully and both lock open well with just a little movement. Does not rattle if shaken. Nice example of a vintage American gentleman's silver switchblade.
