Schrade Hunting Knife Saber grind Bone switchblade

Schrade Cut Co large hunter switchblade with saber grind blade made in Walden, NY sometime between 1916 and 1946. This is the largest switchblade knife made by Schrade measuring 4 7/8" close and 8 3/4" open with steel liners. The blade is full with most of the original factory finish under a light layer of 80 years of patina and is stamped Schrade Cut Co over Walden, NY. The backside has three patent dates 09, 10 and 16. The blade was likely originally etched "SCHRADE HUNTING KNIFE", but the etches were fragile and easily rubbed off. The jigged bone scales are in great condition and are very attractive. The knife works well with the blade tip seating deep, strong snap and Tight lockup! Safety works.
