Unusual ESTILETO MILANO RIZZUTO 22cm Japanese Swing Guard White switchblade made in Japan in the 1960s or 70s. These knives were used in a lot of movies from the 1960s through the 90s and are therefore very popular with switchblade & movie enthusiasts alike. This is the most common size and the less common White color. These knives were inspired by Italian switchblades of the era and they were very affordable which is probably why they were often used by movie prop departments. This knife is very unusual because instead of being marked on the face of the blade below the spine, this one is stamped on the ricasso (tang) ESTILETO MILANO RIZZUTO. Rare to be stamped on the tang and words out of normal order! Fun variation for Rizzuto collectors.

It measures 22cm (8.75 inches) open with steel liners bolsters & folding guards, Brass button, safety & pins and nickel silver decorated lanyard ring. The bayonet style blade is full with original factory finish. The smooth white synthetic scales are in very good condition with some handling marks with 4 brass pins holding the front scale and 3 holding the back. The knife works great with the blade tip well below the liners closed, strong snap and TIGHT lockup! The safety works, but is a little loose. EX+ condition.
