This is a Snappy keychain switchblade made by the Colonial Knife Co of Providence, RI in the late 1950s. You can tell it's a later one by the large domed button and bolsters. The blade is stamped SNAPPY COLONIAL PROV USA, but stamp is weak and hard to read any of it. It was designated the model #1600CB. The knife measures 2.5 inches closed and 4 3/8 inches open with brass liners. The blade is full and retains much of the original factory finish with some tiny pit spots. The Yellow colored synthetic scales are in good condition with no cracks, or chips with minimal shrinkage and slight warp of the front scale. The knife works great with the blade tip seating deep, good snap and locks up with approx 1/16' up and down which is very good for these knives when they've seen some use over the past 60 years. Safety works great. This is a very nice example that grades EX.
