This knife was made by the Colonial Knife Co of Providence RI in the late 1940s/early 50s and was designated the model #1200. It's a fishtail keychain knife that measures 2 5/8" closed and just under 4 1/2" open with brass liners. The blade is stamped SNAPPY COLONIAL PROV USA and is full with most of the original factory finish and a little spotting. Great blade. The yellow synthetic scales are in nice condition with no cracks or chips and show only light signs of being handled over the years, mostly on the back scale. The knife works great with the blade tip seating deep, good snap and good lockup with just a little wiggle. Really nice example of an early Snappy fishtail keychain switchblade.
