This is a Colonial PRONTO fatjack switchblade with Tan swirl synthetic scales. The knife was made by the Colonial Knife Co of Providence, RI around 1950 and was only made for a few years until they changed the name stamped on this model from PRONTO to SHUR SNAP. This knife measures 4 1/8 inches closed and just over 7 inches open with brass liners. The blade is approx 98% full with patina from age, some scratches and spotting with some original finish visible underneath. Could be professionally cleaned to look really nice. The attractive synthetic Tan swirl scales are in very good condition with no cracks, but do have very slight shrinkage and show signs of handling and some light scratches. The knife works great with blade tip seating Deep, strong snap and really good lockup when the blade is open. The safety works properly. Really nice working example of a vintage PRONTO fatjack switchblade from the early 50s. 100% money back guarantee if not happy with it including return shipping.
