This knife was made by the Flylock Knife Co, a division of Challenge Cutlery Corp of Bridgeport, CT in the late 1920s. It's the larger size of the two bladed switchblades that the company made measuring 3 3/8" closed and just under 7 inches with both blades open. Each blade is activated by sliding an oval button, one on each side of the knife. The large blade is marked Flylock Reg US Pat Off on the front and FLYLOCK KNIFE CO B'PORT, CONN on the rear. Small blade same front stamp and US PAT MARCH 5, 1918 on the rear. The scales (handles) are celluloid and are a very attractive cream and orange. The blades are mostly full with patina, light scratches, staining and some peppering. The knife functions well with no peek when closed. Blades open as they should with good average lockup when open, approx 3/16" up and down at the tip on the big blade. German silver tip bolsters are a nice feature on this nice old American switchblade.
