The handles (scales) are very attractive Stag with lots of character and in excellent condition. The knife works fine with blade opening by flipping the Two piece knob on the front side of the knife. Takes some practice, but cool design. This knife is not spring activated, or spring assisted. Just a nice manual knife. The blade does lock open by design.
