The tang is marked PRESTO PAT JAN 30-40 MADE IN USA on the front (a little weak) and GEO SCHRADE KNIFE CO INC B'P'T, CONN on the rear. The multi shaded brown scales, often referred to as \"brain\" with wormgroove pattern are in excellent condition. The knife works well with the blade tip seating deep and centered closed, good snap, guards fly into position, and very good lockup. Does rattle if shaken when blade is open. Safety works.
