It was likely sold as a Kit knife where the spring had to be installed by the buyer. They provided the spring and a brass pin to install it. The locking hole is drilled part way through. The Red pearlescent synthetic scales are very attractive and in excellent condition with a couple of hairline cracks and held on with nickel silver pins. The knife works well with blade tip deep \u0026amp; centered closed, strong snap and Tight lockup open. Does not rattle if shaken with blade open (except for the safety which is loose). Safety works, but loose.
