SCHRADE CUT CO Scout Christmas Tree Celluloid vintage automatic knife made in Walden, NY between 1916 and 1946. The knife measures 4.25 inches closed and 7.25 inches open with brass liners and steel bolsters & button with nickel silver safety. The clip point blade is 97% full or better and shiny with lots of light scratches and the tang is stamped SCHRADE CUT CO WALDEN NY and the reverse is US PATS DEC 21, 09, SEPT 13, 10 and JUNE 6, 16. The handles (scales) are not original to the knife. They have been nicely replaced with Christmas tree celluloid at some point and are Very attractive and in excellent condition. The knife works great with blade tip below liners and centered closed, good snap and good lockup with less than 1/8 inch up and down at the tip. Safety works. EX- condition.
